Best Buy will roll out a new in-store shopping experience for hearing aids in an effort to make it more convenient for Americans with mild to moderate hearing loss to get the products and support they need.
The experience will include an expanded collection of hearing aids, an interactive in-store experience at over 300 stores, and an online hearing assessment tool, which is already available on BestBuy.com.
The latest expands on Best Buy’s existing hearing solutions. The consumer electronics retailer has offered a collection of personal sound amplification products (PSAPs), self-adjusting hearing aids, TV amplifiers, hearing protection devices and other accessories for years.
This fall, the collection will also include the newest category of FDA-regulated over-the-counter hearing aids to help with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss from trusted brands in the space, according to a post on Best’s corporate blog. Buy. Available products will come from Lexie Hearing, Nuheara, Jabra Enhance Plus, Lucid Hearing, and Eargo, among others.
BestBuy.com’s assessment tool, powered by hearing testing solutions startup hearX, helps buyers identify their specific level of hearing loss. Based on the rating, shoppers can find the right fit for their needs when shopping online, or a blue shirt can help make in-store recommendations. The tool is also accessible via a QR code present in in-store shops.
