Loose Women’s Kaye Adams learned she might need a hearing aid after admitting she struggled to hear her coworkers.
The Scottish presenter told her fans that she left for a hearing test after noticing her ability to hear people was diminishing.
The 58-year-old said she and fellow Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha often struggled to get along.
She said on Instagram: “I absolutely guarantee they are going to say I need a hearing aid.”
She later walked out of her hearing test looking less than happy after learning that her hearing was a “borderline hearing aid.”
Kaye said, “The good news is it’s free and the man was so sweet.
“And he said I had a nice battery. Um, that was my left ear. My right ear is borderline hearing aid that’s not that good.”
“All I need now are my piles and corns and my healed hip and I’ll be right like the rain,” she joked.
Later, on a live social media show with her makeup artist, she said: “I’m a little embarrassed, I think.
“I mean, glasses are pretty cool, but there’s nothing cool about a hearing aid, is there? He says I’m borderline. If I have to buy one, I have to buy one. a.”
“Actually, I discussed a cochlear implant, but I think it’s a big operation.”
A cochlear implant is a small electronic device that electrically stimulates the cochlear nerve for hearing.
The implant has external and internal parts. The outer part is behind the ear.
Kaye also revealed that she had been to see if she was eligible for laser treatment on her eyes, but that it wouldn’t be straightforward, so she was going to try wearing different contact lenses.
